The Great Art Heist Opens At Dare Arts This Friday

Over 100 pieces of fine art, including paintings, fiber creations, jewelry, photography, woodwork, and ceramics, will be a part of Dare Arts’ benefit auction, The Great Art Heist, which opens at their Gallery in downtown Manteo on Friday, October 4 at 6pm.

The opening reception will include libations, hors d'oeuvres and live jazz music by Devin Frazier and Ed Tupper. The reception is in conjunction with Manteo’s First Friday festivities and is free and open to everyone.

The Great Art Heist is a silent art auction that guests can view and bid on in-person and online at DareArts.org/artauction to support Dare Arts.

“The Great Art Heist is such a fun way to support Dare Arts,” said Dare Arts Executive Director Jessica Sands. “This event is our only fundraiser of the year, and by bidding in The Great Art Heist, you are supporting our programs, events and our Gallery in downtown Manteo. We are so grateful to all of our artists for their generous donations to make this event possible, and we hope you will join us on Friday evening.”

Registration to bid is now open online at DareArts.org/artauction. Please note that even if you visit The Great Art Heist in-person, you still have to bid online, so advance registration is encouraged.

The Great Art Heist will be open for viewing and bidding from October 4 through October 25.

Final bids must be in by 7:00pm on Friday, October 25.
