Keep the arts alive in Dare County
Dare County Arts Council is primarily a volunteer driven organization. It is through the efforts of numerous residents and visitors alike that we are able to provide Dare County with world-class arts programming. We are always looking for community members who would like to get involved. Whether you are a seasoned professional, newly retired, or newcomer, we need your skills in support of your Arts Council.
What does a Gallery Volunteer do?
Greet customers and complete sales transactions, make phone calls and copies, assist with mailings, data entry, update information on the computer and other projects. Basic computer skills are needed.
How much time do I need to spend?
If you have an hour or an afternoon, we can accommodate you. The Gallery is open Monday – Friday 10am to 5 or 6 pm (seasonally) and Saturdays from noon to 4pm. Volunteers are needed every day of the week and generally work 4 hour shifts.
DCAC programs and events are all staffed by volunteers who want to keep the arts alive in this community. There are many, many opportunities to get involved, work hard and have fun. If you are interested in volunteering, you may want to consider serving on any of the committees listed below.
Please contact us if you would like to be a part of making Art happen for Dare County!
