Dare County Arts Council is seeking entries for the 24th Mollie Fearing Memorial Art Show, which will open on Saturday, May 1.
Artists wishing to participate in this year’s exhibition can find a prospectus and sign up for a specific time to drop off their work online here and at the DCAC Gallery.
Seagreen Gallery owner and artist Susan Evans will judge the 2021 Mollie Fearing Memorial Art Show. Susan graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in art photography. She opened Seagreen Gallery in Nags Head with her family in 2010, and has since opened a second location in Duck.
The show is held in memory of Mollie A. Fearing, one of the founders of Dare County Arts Council, and is known for showcasing vibrant, eclectic artwork.
“My mother always saw the beauty in everyone’s art, just as she saw in every person she met,” said Grizelle Fearing. “I am looking forward to seeing all of the artwork in this year’s show.”
The exhibition will be open for viewing in Dare County Arts Council’s Courtroom Gallery during normal gallery hours from May 1 t
