Kay Thompson

Kay Thompson spends most of her time painting in North Carolina, Ohio, Michigan and Tennessee. Kay’s work is varied and consists mostly of watercolor paintings from seascapes to mountains, fields, and lighthouses, never focusing too selectively on one subject. She finds that watercolor is ideal for making spontaneous paintings that capture nature. She uses a fair amount of detail in some parts of the painting while using only slight definition in other parts. Her paintings have appeared in many art shows and have won numerous awards. Painting has been a fascination since early childhood, and a passion she used as a teacher and artist.
