Experience the ultimate fusion of art and theatre at Paintings Come To Life Theatre Camp, which will be held from 9:30am-12pm the week of August 12-16.  As participants enhance their performance talents, they’ll breathe new vigor into classic Norman Rockwell paintings by crafting captivating scenes that bring art to life! The camp culminates in an exciting performance where paintings transform into live theatre!

Cost: $185. Includes all supplies. Preregistration is required. There must be 7 children signed up for class to take place. Class is open to kids 11-17 years old and is limited to 20 students.

Students will meet at Dare Arts Gallery each day for this camp, but depending on what they are doing and the weather, participants may be upstairs in the Courtroom Gallery, outside in Dare Arts' Courtyard or next door at Magnolia Pavilion. Pickup each day will be at the Dare Arts Gallery.

Cancellation policy: Registrations cannot be transferred to future workshops. No-shows will not receive a refund. If you need to cancel for any reason, we will only refund you if we are able to fill the spot. If we are forced to reschedule/cancel the workshop for any reason, we will contact you directly about the new date or refund.

Instructor Bio: Stacey Maxwell is the owner and Artistic Director of Porkchop Productions Children’s Theatre. Since 1991, she has served as playwright, actor and director and has designed hundreds of interactive theatre experiences for young people at schools, universities, libraries, and arts organizations throughout the southeast.
