On Saturday, November 2 from 9am to 12pm artist Catherine Hamill is teaching an acrylic paint-a-long class at Dare Arts in Manteo.

This workshop encourages first-time painters as well as more advanced painters. There will be lessons including the art of mixing colors, creating realistic shapes and shadows, recognizing the colors of nature, and creating the perspective of near and far. Composition will also be discussed. Students will feel confident about their work, and will leave with a completed painting on canvas.
