On Friday, October 6 at 6pm Dare Arts’ fundraiser, The Great Art Heist, will open at their Gallery in downtown Manteo during First Friday.
The opening reception will include libations, hors d'oeuvres and live jazz music by Devin Frazier and Ed Tupper. The reception is free and open to everyone.
“We hope you will join us this Friday for a spectacular evening,” said Dare Arts Executive Director Jessica Sands. “The Great Art Heist is our only fundraiser of the year, and its success allows us to continue offering diverse programming and worthwhile community events. By bidding in this benefit art auction, you are supporting our important work and the Arts on the Outer Banks!”
Featuring the work of over 100 local and regional artists plus performing art experiences, The Great Art Heist offers something for everyone.
“Paintings, jewelry, photography, ceramics, and other wonderful pieces of art have been generously donated to the Art Heist by our talented artists,” said Dare Arts Gallery Director Lynne Francis. “The quality of work in this year’s auction is unparalleled.”
Everyone is encouraged to register to bid online here now, so that they get straight to bidding once the auction is open.
The Great Art Heist will be open for bidding in person at the Dare Arts Gallery and online from October 6 through October 27.
Once The Great Art Heist opens, Dare Arts will be offering extended hours on Thursdays. Gallery hours while the auction is open are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10am to 5pm, Thursday 10am to 7pm, Saturday 10am to 4pm and closed Sunday-Monday.
If you can't make it to opening night, plan a private viewing of The Great Art Heist with a group of friends or co-workers. To schedule a private viewing, please email Dare Arts Executive Director Jessica Sands at DareArtsInfo@gmail.com.
Final bids must be in by 7:00pm on Friday, October 27.
