In Good Company
Inspirations from the Outer Edge Film Series
In August, Dare Arts and the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau (OBVB) will bring you In Good Company: Inspirations from the Outer Edge Film Series, a multimedia art exhibition.
As part of the Visitors Bureau’s ongoing commitment to responsible travel and the vibrant locals it serves, OBVB created a captivating six-video film series sharing stories of local residents who pour their passions into photography, commercial fishing, boat building, crafting local products, analyzing weather patterns, fueling the grassroots music scene and more.
This invitational exhibit will feature each of the six episodes from Season 1 of The Outer Edge for visitors to watch. In addition to film, this exhibit will feature photography, pottery, paintings, mixed-media, wood, and literary arts by local and regional artists.

Reception + Exhibition Dates + Info
There will be an opening reception on Friday, August 1 from 6pm to 8pm, where visitors can meet some of the exhibiting artists and staff from the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau. The opening reception is during downtown Manteo's First Friday festivities and is free and open to the public.
In Good Company: Inspirations from the Outer Edge Film Series will be on display in the Courtroom Gallery August 2-28, 2025.
“Our hope with these films is that they serve as a point of pride for locals, a reminder of why we work so hard to live here,” says Lee Nettles, Executive Director of the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau. “For potential guests, the videos are intended to share what it truly means to be a part of the Outer Banks community, the respect for people and place, and the sense of responsibility to preserve and protect it for future generations.”
