Oscar Nominated Short Films

The Film Society's inagural season's screening of animated short films nominated for an Academy Award was arguably the highlight of the film society year. We’ll do it again and hope for another batch of excellent films to enjoy. Our annual dress-up reception, with the red carpet and photos in front of the Oscar backdrop! We will watch nominees that were announced in January 2027; maybe our favorites will win an Oscar at the ceremony broadcast on March 14. Come early for the reception - Film Society members will be treated to a selection of California wines provided by our sponsor Nouvines.

All films will be screened at Dare Arts in Manteo, unless otherwise specified. Doors will open at 6pm and films will start at 6:15pm. Discussion follows the screening. Seating is first come, first serve.…
