On Wednesday, May 8 from 2pm to 4:30pm cancer survivors, patients and their caregivers are invited to join artist Peggy Saporito for a free wildflower watercolor class the newly opened Cowell Cancer Center in Nags Head.

Learning to paint with watercolor should be fun! This workshop is geared specifically toward students eager to paint and study in a no-stress environment. Peggy will discuss the use of brushes, paint, paper, values, different techniques,

mixing colors and transferring any subject matter to watercolor paper. In this class, students at all levels will benefit from a more personal understanding of the painting possibilities available in the exciting world of flower painting. Peggy will demonstrate, but will mostly allow the students to explore how to apply paint to watercolor paper and give individual help.

No experience required. This workshop is designed for first-time painters.
