On Wednesday, February 14 from 2pm to 4:30pm join artist Fay Davis Edwards for a free Jim Dine Inspired Heart Painting Workshop for cancer survivors, patients and their caregivers at the newly opened Cowell Cancer Center in Nags Head.

At class, Fay will help participants create dynamic, colorful hearts on canvas inspired by Dine, in celebration of love and hope.

According to the Jonathan Novak Gallery, "Jim Dine's Hearts are one of the most beloved themes, central to the artist’s historical body of work. While hearts are universally recognizable, within contemporary art history, Dine has laid undisputed claim to the shape, suggesting boundless possibilities endowed with complex meaning." 

No experience required.

Cost: Thanks to a Community Benefit Grant from Outer Banks Health, this workshop is free for cancer survivors, patients and their caregivers, and all supplies are included.
