On Wednesday, October 21 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm cancer survivors, patients and their caregivers are invited to join artist Diana Lawrence for a collage memory journal workshops at the Cowell Cancer Center in Nags Head.

Participants will design a personalized book. The cover will use decorative paper backgrounds, cut-outs, ephemera, and photos. The interior pages will contain many questions to prompt writing. This expressive practice promotes artistic mindfulness allowing individuals to visually express memories and mentally transition into a creative space, making the journal a deeply personal object before you even begin writing or documenting memories inside. It’s a truly wonderful way to connect with others through storytelling!

*Participants are encouraged to bring their own photos for their collage memory journal.

Cost: Thanks to a Community Benefit Grant from Outer Banks Health, this workshop is free for cancer survivors, patients and their caregivers, and all supplies are included.
