Unleash your child’s inner musician at a one-of-a-kind week-long bucket drumming camp led by Stacey from Porkchop Productions from 9:30am to 12pm July 22-26. In this camp, kids will design, paint, and play their very own bucket drum while learning rhythm techniques in a fun and creative way. Camp will culminate in an exciting drum circle performance, as participants show off their newfound skills!

Cost: $185. Includes all supplies. Payment must be made in advance via credit card online at DareArts.org/workshops.

Students will meet at Dare Arts Gallery each day for this camp, but depending on what they are doing and the weather, participants may be upstairs in the Courtroom Gallery, outside in Dare Arts' Courtyard or next door at Magnolia Pavilion. 

Preregistration is required. There must be 7 children signed up for class to take place. Class is open to kids 7-12 years old and is limited to 15 students.

Cancellation policy: Registrations cannot be transferred to future workshops. No-shows will not receive a refund. If you need to cancel for any reason, we will only refund you if we are able to fill the spot. If we are forced to reschedule/cancel the workshop for any reason, we will contact you directly about the new date or refund.

Instructor Bio: With over forty years of experience in percussion and percussion performance, Stacey Maxwell brings a unique perspective to her role as owner and Artistic Director of Porkchop Productions Children’s Theatre. Her innovative drumming camps offer young artists throughout the southeast the opportunity to explore the fusion of visual and performing arts in an exciting and imaginative way.
