Award-winning photographers Shirley Whitenack and Richard St. Peter will be leading a two-day photography workshop at Dare Arts March 13-14. This workshop will give you the confidence and knowledge to create close up and still life images.

In this workshop you will make a portrait of an inanimate object as well as create a storytelling image. Class will emphasize close-up photography, choice of lenses, and utilizing various shooting modes. Students will hone their photographic skills in the areas of lighting (use of light and shadow), use of reflectors, selective focus, depth of field, and composition. Using backdrops, students will photograph both natural and man-made objects various sources of light: ambient, window, built-in camera flash, electronic strobe flash, continuous lights, and hot lights.
