Student Art Exhibits

In June, we will host two student art exhibits in our upstairs Gallery.

One show titled Collected Memories will feature works in watercolor, acrylic, oil and mixed media from professional and emerging artists who participate in the ongoing painting workshops at Dare County Arts Council, taught by Munroe Bell and Fay Davis Edwards. Each student has such a beautiful way of capturing memory and interpreting it for their audience.

The second show will feature Dare County High School seniors' artwork. These student's participated in DCAC's seminar, “The Business Side of Art” to learn about promoting, hanging, exhibiting, and framing their work. This show will highlight the highest level of high school art.

Opening Reception Details

Join us for an opening reception on Friday, June 7 from 6pm - 8pm. There will be light hors d'oeuvres and libations, and live music by student bands on the courthouse steps. The reception is during downtown Manteo's First Friday festivities.

Reception guests will have the opportunity to meet a lot of these talented students. The reception is free and open to the public.
