Program Director Job Description
Dare Arts is seeking an organized and creative self-starter to serve as our part-time Program Director. The job entails an average of 15-20 hours per week working at our Gallery in Manteo, at off-site events and remotely from home. The position pays $15-$18 an hour based on experience. The Dare Arts Program Director reports to the Executive Director.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Program Management, including being the primary point of contact for Dare Arts programs, including but not limited to Artrageous, Rock The Cape, Veterans Program, First Friday, & Power of Art.
Scheduling for each program, including working with committees to manage timelines.
Venue management, including securing venues for events by submitting venue applications & permits, etc.
Working with the Executive Director to support fundraising goals associated with each program and to set and work within budgets for each program.
Program communication, including emails and phone calls with artists, performers, committee members, instructors, partner organizations, vendors and volunteers.
Working with the Media Director to ensure marketing needs and deadlines are met for all programs.
Providing regular reports and updates on programs to the Executive Director.
Working special events at the Gallery and within the community, including some evenings and weekends.
Knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Forms is a must. Knowledge of Canva is a plus, but not required.
