Dare Arts Seeking Program Director

Program Director Job Description

Dare Arts is seeking an organized and creative self-starter to serve as our part-time Program Director. The job entails an average of 15-20 hours per week working at our Gallery in Manteo, at off-site events and remotely from home. The position pays $15-$18 an hour based on experience. The Dare Arts Program Director reports to the Executive Director. 

Primary Responsibilities Include: 

• Program Management, including being the primary point of contact for Dare Arts programs, including but not limited to Artrageous, Rock The Cape, Veterans Program, First Friday, & Power of Art. 

• Scheduling for each program, including working with committees to manage timelines. 

• Venue management, including securing venues for events by submitting venue applications & permits, etc.

• Working with the Executive Director to support fundraising goals associated with each program and to set and work within budgets for each program.

• Program communication, including emails and phone calls with artists, performers, committee members, instructors, partner organizations, vendors and volunteers. 

• Working with the Media Director to ensure marketing needs and deadlines are met for all programs.

• Providing regular reports and updates on programs to the Executive Director.

• Working special events at the Gallery and within the community, including some evenings and weekends.

• Knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Forms is a must. Knowledge of Canva is a plus, but not required.
