Children’s art festival is presented by PNC Bank
The 32nd Annual Artrageous Kids Art Festival will be held at Dowdy Park in Nags Head from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sat., Sept. 18.
Presented by PNC Bank, Artrageous is a free, family-friendly event that includes art activities, live music, dance performances, an artisan market, and food vendors.
“Artrageous is an inclusive event the whole community can enjoy,” said Jim Hansen, PNC regional president for Eastern Carolinas. “PNC is happy to continue supporting this festival, which brings enrichment and fun to local children and families.”
This year’s theme, Be You! You’re An Original, encourages children to celebrate being themselves and creating original artwork.
“Having fun, making art, listening to music, and enjoying time with family and friends is what Artrageous is all about,” said Dare County Arts Council Interim Executive Director Jessica Sands. “Our plan is to offer high-quality art activities that inspire children, while showing them there is no right or wrong way to express themselves through art.”
Organizations and businesses interested in hosting a kids art activity and artisans interested in selling their works at Artrageous can find the applications online here. The application deadline is Fri., Aug. 27.
The Artrageous Kids Art Festival is Dare County’s longest-running kids art program.
Artrageous will be following all federal and state guidelines regarding COVID-19, while still providing a quality experience.
Businesses interested in sponsoring the event and the Artrageous scholarship program should contact Dare County Arts Council Interim Executive Director Jessica Sands at DareArtsInfo@gmail.com.
