Summer Arts Opportunity at The Sanderling

We’ve got another artist opportunity to share with you, this one from our friends at the Sanderling Resort in Duck.

In recent summers, The Sanderling has hosted a number of family-focused craft building activities for their guests, with great success. This summer, they are interested in working with more artists who would be interested in selling their work and working with guests on different types of creative activities. Think of it as a trunk show, with a fee-based interactive art component.

Activities could include:

· Jewelry making (variety of mediums)

· Sea glass projects (very successful last year)

· Painting (variety of mediums- thinking canvas/glassware etc.)

· Yarn art

· Beading

· Drumming/music

· Wind chimes

· Pottery

Based on their past experiences, they have noticed that a small fee for the interactive portion (thinking $5 to cover supplies/costs) paired with a trunk show allows the artists to capture maximum revenue from their time at Sanderling.

Sanderling is not interested in charging any sort of commission from artist sales; they are more focused on creating family memories and lasting positive impressions where guests recall positive & unique experiences created while on the Outer Banks. Proof of liability insurance would be required and Artists would be responsible for their own point of sale devices.
