On Wednesday, March 6 cancer survivors, patients and their caregivers are invited to join the amazing team from Raleigh, NC based ComMotion for a special movement class at the newly opened Cowell Cancer Center in Nags Head at 2pm. ComMotion's mission is to build community and improve well-being through adaptive and inclusive movement. 

ComMotion was founded in 2018 by a cancer survivor and disabled veteran who found health and happiness through learning to dance and wanted to give that same opportunity to others in need. The organization has been steadily growing and since 2018 has taught hundreds of movement programs for more than 30,000 people of all ages and abilities, including military veterans, cancer survivors, seniors, kids, and people with disabilities.  They provide people of all walks of life the opportunity to engage in fun activities that will stimulate the mind, body and soul.  

No experience required.

Cost: Thanks to a Community Benefit Grant from Outer Banks Health, this workshop is free for cancer survivors, patients and their caregivers, and all supplies (if applicable) are included.
