201 Main: Pocosin Arts Resident Artists, Past and Present
This exhibition will highlight the works of current and past resident artists of the Pocosin Arts residency program.
The artists included will exhibit current works, which they have made since their experience in the river town of Columbia, North Carolina.
As these artists make and move from one studio situation to the next, their recollections of their time in these new and interesting locations inevitably influences their concepts and making processes. Whether it is the ecology of the waterways, the land formations created through weather and time, the architecture found in the southern farmland, or their interactions with the people of the region; it all factors into the work that each person developed.
Opening Reception + Artist Info
Join us for an artist reception on Friday, September 20 from 6pm - 8pm. There will be light hors d'oeuvres, live music and libations. Reception guests will also have the opportunity to meet some of the talented artists. The reception is free and open to the public.
The show will be on display August 16-September 28, 2019.
