The 40th New World Festival of the Arts was one of the best shows on record. After careful evaluation of the logistics and costs associated with an event of this size, Dare Arts has made the difficult decision to discontinue hosting the New World Festival of the Arts. Thank you for your years of support, participation, and creativity. This is a family-oriented outdoor show, which takes place on the Manteo Waterfront during August of each year. New World Festival of the Arts has been a Manteo tradition for decades, providing awareness of current trends in the visual arts while acquainting visitors with the historic Town of Manteo. 

Originally started 1982 by Claire Grieves and Edward Greene, New World Festival of the Arts acquaints visitors and locals alike with the town of Manteo bringing an average of 3,000 attendees to the area each each year. NWFA is now in its 40th year of presenting a show of the region's finest artists in an outdoor, festival atmosphere.
