My Journey of 10,000 Steps
Digital Collages by Linda Meyer Browning
In August, our Courtroom Gallery will feature digital collages by Linda Meyer Browning. The month-long exhibit will showcase Linda's ability to wed the artistic world to the electronic age to deliver a unified body of work that pushes the boundaries of digital imagery creation.
Linda's collages consist of thousands of tiny digital photos of dolphins, butterflies, fish, or scallop shells, which she has resized, colored, rotated, skewed, or manipulated in some other way, then inserted them into her compositions to create koi ponds, dolphin waves, butterfly trees, and scallop shell still lifes.
Every collage represents hundreds of hours of tedious work. Linda says, "I hope the viewer will enjoy this very different visual art experience."

My Journey of 10,000 Steps will be on display August 6-28, 2021.
Linda says, “My emotional response to color stirs me to paint. My love of flora and fauna directs what I paint. Light and shadow define how I paint it. I love to sing, and I want my colors to do the same. While some painters use a palette full of manufactured pigments, I prefer to use only five and mix them to get the hues, shades, and strengths that I want in order to convey the mood or feeling of a piece. By mixing my own colors, I achieve harmony and cohesiveness in an entire body of work.”
