NC Artist Grants

Regional Artist Project Grants Available to Area Artists
Nash County, NC
Nash Arts is pleased to announce a unique opportunity for area artists. The Regional Artist Project Grant Program provides financial support (up to $1,000) to developing professional artists by funding projects pivotal to the advancement of their careers as artists. These grants are intended to fund a specific project that will be completed by June 15, 2006. Artists developing a professional career in the arts who have mastered the basic techniques of their art form are encouraged to apply. The program is supported by a 29 county consortium of local arts agencies in the region in collaboration with the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency.

Artists in all disciplines may apply. Applicants must be current residents, and must have resided for at least one year in one of the following counties: Beaufort, Bertie, Camden, Carteret, Chowan, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Duplin, Edgecombe, Gates, Greene, Halifax, Hertford, Hyde, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, Nash, Northampton, Onslow, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrrell, Washington, Wayne or Wilson. Applicants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and cannot be enrolled in (or on leave from) a degree or certificate program during the grant period. Artists that were awarded a grant in the 2004-2005 cycle are not eligible to apply this year. The deadline for applications is Monday, October 3, 2005.
