FRANK STICK SHOW 2005 AWARD WINNERS
Regional and local talent was showcased at the 27th Annual Frank Stick Memorial Art Show, sponsored by the Dare County Arts Council and hosted by Glenn Eure's Ghost Fleet Gallery. Awards were given to artists representing all styles of work, including a first-ever tie for the People's Choice award.

Best in Show Award
Sponsored by Linda R. Sharp, CPA was given to:
Scott Stockdale "Things that do not Heal" - polychromed ceramic

Excellence Awards
Sponsored by Carolina State Mortgage Corporation, John Silver Gallery, Greenleaf Gallery and Quible & Associates were given to:
1. Ralph Johnson "Red-Tail Hawk" - woodcarving
2. Shirley Ruff "Bridges to Manteo" - oil
3. Pat Hayward "Staircase" - photograph
4. Megan Rubino "Local Color" - watercolor

Honorable Mention Awards
Sponsored by Brooks at Vista Florist, Scrooge & Marley, Davco Electric, Islander Flags, Outer Banks Oral Health, Joan & Ed Boswell and Anna Sadler were given to:
1. Mary Crutchfield "Special Gathering" - watermedia
2. Debbie Lewis "Untitled" - ceramic
3. Steve Lautermilch "What the Wind Writes" - photograph

The People's Choice Award
Sponsored by the Barefoot Gourmet was awarded to two local artists due to a tied vote:
1. John De La Vega "Melissa" - oil
2. Ralph Johnson "Red-Tail Hawk" - woodcarving.

The Dare County Arts Council wishes to extend special thanks to all the artists who submitted their work as well as the sponsors, donors and volunteers who have made this year's show such a huge success!

For the first time ever, there was a tie for the People's Choice Award selected by public ballot at the recent 27th Annual Frank Stick Memorial Art Show sponsored by the Dare County Arts Council.
