Lisa Cooper and Glenn Dodenhoff in the back gallery November 5 - December 2!
Glenn Dodenfhoff and Lisa Cooper have lived on Hatteras Island for thirty some years. Born in California, Glenn studied at the Art Center School of Design in the late '50's. Lisa is a native New Yorker. She studied art at the University of New Mexico, and the two artists met in Taos.
While traveling the country they happened upon Hatteras, where they have grown roots in the sand. They have painted and shown their work on the Outer Banks ever since. Glenn is a fisherman, gardener and musician. Lisa plays guitar and bass, pulls weeds and cooks the fish.

Holiday Small Works Show Coming Up!
December 5th Opening 6-8 pm
Drop off Art December 1-4
The Holiday Small Works Show will open December 5th this year with a Holiday party/reception planned for the First Friday. The show will hang in the rear exhibit space in the gallery. DCAC will accept 5 pieces from each artist for the Small Works Show (maximum 16" x 16") if you do not have 3 pieces in the main gallery in regular rotation. If you have 3 pieces in the gallery you may bring 2 pieces for the Small Works Show for a total of 5 in the gallery. Drop off for the Holiday Small Works Show is Monday, December 1st through Thursday, December 4th with a cut-off at 2 pm on Thursday. Opera Talk Tosca
Join the Virginia Opera's Glenn Winters for a preview of their upcoming production of Tosca.
Whether you are new to opera or a long time aficionado, Glenn will take you on a lively and engaging musical tour of Puccini's masterpiece.

Our Opera Talk speaker, Dr Glenn Winters, received his Doctor of Music from Northwestern University and his B.M. and M.M. in piano performance from Indiana University. His background includes teaching college-level piano, arts administration at two universities, and extensive performing experience as solo pianist and accompanist. As an operatic baritone, Dr. Winters has sung over a dozen principal roles, including a guest appearance with the Operafestival di Roma in Rome, Italy, where he also served as Chorus Master. His original educational opera History Alive! will be performed in Virginia schools by the Virginia Opera's educational touring program in 2007. He joined Virginia Opera’s Education and Audience Development department in 2004 as Community Outreach Musical Director.
