Dare County Arts Council

The Dare County Arts Council is hosting a series of neighborhood gatherings that will be hosted in towns throughout the Outer Banks by DCAC. The Arts Council campaign will feature a series of neighborhood gatherings that will be hosted in towns throughout the Outer Banks to expand awareness about our activities and encourage membership. We invite artists and art lovers in local communities to come and bring a friend or two who enjoy the arts!

For over 30 years, the Dare County Arts Council, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization, has been fulfilling a vital mission to encourage the Arts in Dare County through Advocacy, Enrichment and Opportunity. Through memberships and grant support, the Dare County Arts Council provides:

Promotion of Arts in Education throughout Dare County Schools and the community.
Scholarships to graduating high school seniors.
Ongoing classes and workshops for all ages in a variety of media and disciplines.
Connections between arts opportunities and individual artists and organizations
A gallery for established and emerging artists.
The Annual Frank Stick and Mollie Fearing Art Competitions and Shows.
Funding for community organizations and schools through the North Carolina Arts Council Grass Roots Grant Program.
