Dare County Arts Council Hires New Executive Director

Manteo, NC - Having served as a member of the Board of Directors, Laura Martier's institutional history was just one of the many reasons she was selected to be the new DCAC Executive Director. Martier joined Dare County Arts Council in January and has led the organization through a very busy winter and early spring.

"She just has what it takes to lead our group," said DCAC President Amy Huggins, "She is both an artist and a business woman - a rare combination! She is passionate about the arts, is a homegrown visionary and is definitely an alpha connector!"

Martier has already connected with artists, businesses, local governments, patrons and volunteers, written grants, subgranted to the communit, and planned community art projects.

If you haven't had a chance to meet Martier, "give me a call," she said with a smile, "let's connect!"

The Executive Director's office is located at 104 Sir Walter Raleigh, Downtown Manteo. Martier can be reached at 252.473.5558 or info@darearts.org, to schedule an appointment to see how you can connect!
